No one likes to feel they are living in a motel unit which is why Highgrove Village’s beautiful retirement apartments, designed in conjunction with renowned British architect Terence Kennedy, offer a standard of living you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
Spacious, quiet and comfortable all year round, the apartments boast a superior standard of fittings and fixtures. Take a look for yourself….
Designed for living
Every apartment at Highgrove has a spacious open plan living area that opens out onto a paved garden patio or a balcony with a view.
The living area provides ample room for you to personalise your space, easily accommodating a family sized lounge suite, television, dining suite and sideboard. New Zealand-made, environmentally friendly 100% wool carpeting is in a neutral shade to compliment any decor. All Highgrove Retirement Village apartments are fitted with a heat pump which keeps the apartment pleasantly cool in summer, and toasty warm in winter.
Should you wish to provide all your own meals you can cook up a storm in the thoughtfully laid out kitchen. Practical and easy to keep clean (but good looking too), granite bench tops and ceramic tiling typify the quality finish.
A Licence to Occupy at Highgrove comes with a complete whiteware package including a full height fridge/freezer, oven, hob, range extractor and a Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer.
Bedrooms for a good nights' rest
Apartments at Highgrove Retirement Village are available in either one or two bedrooms options. Designed to accommodate either a King or two single beds, the master bedroom features a double fitted wardrobe with mirrored doors. To ensure a quiet night’s sleep, there’s double-glazing throughout the apartment.
Telephone and television jacks are standard in each master bedroom, as well as an emergency 24-hour call button.
Bathrooms & Laundry
The bathroom is designed for independent living and is equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings. An easy-access shower and well placed grab rails make bathroom use easier even when mobility is compromised. A 24/7 emergency call button is also located in the bathroom.
Since everyone deserves a little luxury, a heated towel rail and underfloor heating will spoil you all year round. The bathroom is also equipped with discrete laundry facilities including a washing machine and dryer which form part of the apartment’s whiteware package.
Thank you for your warm & welcoming manner in welcoming Gordon. When he passed by your desk & the assistance and support you offered us in managing Helens care. Our experience at Patrick Ferry House was appreciated and first class.
It was good to see the happy atmosphere at the party and the staff all joining in. Jet is in good hands.

Thank you for the wonderful care and consideration of Nelson.
A warm thank you for the care and attention you have given to Bert over the last 2 years, it has been very much appreciated.
Bob, John, Barbara and families
Thanks for the consideration and dedication you show towards my Dad. His profession was one of ‘caring’ for people less fortunate, so it is nice to know he is now on the receiving end. Keep up the good work.
Thank you all for making my family so welcome, we won’t forget your hospitality and kindness towards us. I am so glad that I picked Patrick Ferry House for Bevan’s last days, he felt safe and secure there.
Carole and all my family
Thank you for the good care you have given Mike over the last week. I appreciate the attention you give him which gives me the opportunity to recharge my batteries.
Thanks Patrick Ferry House, we’re so lucky to have picked you!

I cannot praise the staff enough. They hold my mum’s hand, pat her forehead, they pop in and out even when they are not rostered to look after her. They interact with my sister and I, comforting us by giving a casual pat on the shoulder to make sure we’re ok, always showing great concern.
Patrick Ferry House
My mother felt comfortable as soon as she arrived at Patrick Ferry House and immediately joined in with the activities. We could see she felt safe and secure. We were able to relax in the knowledge that our mum was being looked after so well.
