Our location - Albany, Auckland

Surrounded by bush, but within the hub of Albany, access in and out of Highgrove is via the main entrance onto the Albany Highway, or from Condor Place through Unsworth Heights.

Highgrove truly offers the best of both worlds. There is no need to retreat from the world (unless you really want to!). Our location makes it easy to remain active in the wider community.

Take your pick from the Albany Megacentre, Milford Shops, Glenfield Mall and Wairau Park – all within a 10 minute drive. Smaller convenience shops are also located nearby.

For residents unable to drive, the village bus operates shopping excursions to the main shopping centres three times a week so you can enjoy a spot of shopping or do the grocery top-up at one of the supermarkets.

Clubs & Recreational Facilities

Highgrove is surrounded by numerous clubs and recreational facilities – golf, bowling, tennis, service clubs, Probus – you name it, it’s out there! The Birkenhead, East Coast Bays, and Takapuna RSAs are also within a 10 minute drive.

Parks and Reserves

The surrounding suburbs contain some of the region’s best kept secrets. Visit Wainoni Park in Greenhithe (the North Shore’s Cornwall Park), with its easy access boardwalks criss-crossing wide open fields. The recently completed playground is also haven for children of all ages.
The beaches of the East Coast Bays and all the attractions they offer are a short drive from Highgrove.

If good food and fine wine is more to your taste, nearby you’ll find Kumeu and its vineyards and artisan inspired cafes, as well as the fresh produce outlets of Hobsonville.

Nelson’s family

A warm thank you for the care and attention you have given to Bert over the last 2 years, it has been very much appreciated.

Bob, John, Barbara and families

Thanks for the consideration and dedication you show towards my Dad. His profession was one of ‘caring’ for people less fortunate, so it is nice to know he is now on the receiving end. Keep up the good work.

Thank you all for making my family so welcome, we won’t forget your hospitality and kindness towards us. I am so glad that I picked Patrick Ferry House for Bevan’s last days, he felt safe and secure there.

Carole and all my family

Thanks Patrick Ferry House, we’re so lucky to have picked you!

Janet Templeman & Leonie Gallaher

I cannot praise the staff enough. They hold my mum’s hand, pat her forehead, they pop in and out even when they are not rostered to look after her. They interact with my sister and I, comforting us by giving a casual pat on the shoulder to make sure we’re ok, always showing great concern.

Patrick Ferry House

My mother felt comfortable as soon as she arrived at Patrick Ferry House and immediately joined in with the activities. We could see she felt safe and secure. We were able to relax in the knowledge that our mum was being looked after so well.
